FAQs—Coffee Drip Bags

What’s the ratio for drip coffee bags?

For the perfect brew, we recommend a coffee-to-water ratio of around 1:16 or 1:18. This just means that for every gram of coffee, use 18 ml of water. Want your coffee to have more of a kick? Slightly reduce the water, aiming for around a 1:15 ratio.

Are coffee filter bags the same as instant coffee?

While we understand the confusion, instant coffee and coffee filter bags couldn"t be more different. They both have convenience, but the main difference is how they’re made.

Instant coffee goes through a ton of processing and refinement before it reaches your home. On the other hand, drip bag coffee is just good, fresh ground coffee in brewable bags.

How long does drip-bag coffee last?

Similar to ground coffee, when sealed, you’re looking at a good 6-month timeframe. Once drip filter coffee bags are opened, they’re best had within 6 weeks. If they’re smelling stale or tasting bland, they may be past it.
